What is an Instructional Coach?
As an instructional coach, I collaborate with educators to facilitate the incorporation of new teaching strategies and technologies, to hone educators' instructional skills, and to assist with the design, implementation, and assessment of lessons and learning goals. This includes working 1:1 with an educator or with small focus groups (i.e., grade level or content area teams) and/or using technology and communication tools to share classroom learning with parents and the community
Coaching and Professional Development for Education Directors
EdtechMMG offers a variety of professional development themes for teacher-leaders and education directors. We explore strategies for supporting teachers as they work towards meaningful technology integration. Our work together acknowledges the challenges of technology integration and provides pathways to address those challenges through collaboration on and experimentation with a variety of technology tools. Participants leave each session with a core set of technology tools to model and share with their faculty as well as strategies for cultivating teacher capability.
What can an Instructional Coach do for YOU?
Outside the Classroom
Outside the classroom, I co-plan lessons with teachers and/or staff meeting with education directors, encourage reflective practice through ongoing dialogue, identify and evaluate resources, and provide individual and small group customized professional development.
Inside the Classroom
Inside the classroom, I have the opportunity to observe and conference with educators regarding classroom practices and co-teach lessons that model using new tools and techniques.
In the Community
In the community, I lead seminars that link classroom content, technology and tools to parent experiences, facilitate student work galleries and student-community collaboration, highlight ways technology can bring Jewish content from the classroom into home and community spaces.
